One of my absolute favorites from Austin TX is breaking out of Texas for a couple of summer tours.
They're starting in the East Coast this weekend (starting tonight in New Hampshire and NYC on Sat night). They head out to the Southwest and West Coast in July.
They released their self titled debut in spring 2008 and they're getting ready to release an EP, Take It All In, next month on their new label, Playing In Traffic Records.
They formed while still in high school a few years ago. They developed into a very tight unit and their songs are a fun, catchy blend of 60s and 70s rock along with more recent influences (Jet, Kings of Leon, The Strokes).
The band consists of cousins, Will Thompson (lead singer, guitar) and Sam Thompson (lead guitar), Stephen Ross (bass guitar), and Z Lynch. If you go see them, tell them I sent you ;-)
