Greg, Mike, Bill...
I share a bit of all your sentiments here. Some very
well stated thoughts and insightful observations.
At the end of the day, my cynic tells me that power pop is never going to be
widely accepted by mainstream audiences....at least not on the scale of
other genres like hip hop or even indie rock (which may not get the sales
figures, but gets plenty of music
press coverage)
Sadly, without the names behind them, Tinted Windows would probably be as
popular
as a band like.....say, The Well Wishers.
So, until I get Dave Grohl and Rivers Cuomo in my first super group, I'll
just have to live with that fact. :-)
