Attention film geeks - Amazon has 38 titles in a Film Noir sale for the next
two weeks. A couple on this list are really later films that tip a cap to
the era - or remakes with less atmosphere - but hard to squabble when
several good titles are only 7.99 each with free shipping. If for nothing
else hopefully a few more Gene Tierney fans will be made, she gets lost in
the shuffle when discussing great actresses of the time.
Also don't know why they list NIGHT OF THE HUNTER and then show you it's
unavailable through them (discontinued title) but at least there's a link to
get new/used copies through others. I highly recommend the (finally)
restored version of KANSAS CITY CONFIDENTIAL, especially if you think
Tarantino only stole the fake-name bit from TAKING OF PELHAM 1-2-3 for
RESERVOIR DOGS.
