The latest issue of Time Magazine, more or less. declared that melodic
pop was going to rule the airwaves now that just about every other genre
of music is dead or dying. They sited the popularity of Nikko Case's
latest record as proof. They talked about indie and fringe popsters
lurking in the shadows waiting to be "scene". The public is losing it's
taste for the manufactured star (Britney anyone?), Rap is dead, speed
metal thrash is dead,

Could we be hip?

Tom
