Subject: Clovis Roblaine, the Wigs, and other reissued albums.
I'm semi-surprised that I didn't see anyone here mention tthat the
Clovis Roblaine album had been finally reissued on CD last year. On the
other hand, after buying the CD, I can somewhat see why.....In any event, the Clovis Roblaine CD is further disappointing, due to
the fact that it didn't preserve the original cover. And perhaps even
worse, the last song from the album is significantly speeded up. This
must have been a mistake. It sounds like Mickey Mouse is singing it........

i will second some of Mark's comments-I bought the original vinyl some years ago, after having seen it in ads going back to when it first came out that ran in NY Rocker, Trouser Press, etc, and never buying it......heard one song on an ancient John Borack tape tree tape from ages gone by, and finally found the vinyl, which, I have to say, was a little disappointing to my ears at least.....STILL, cool to see this stuff on cd at last.......for kooks like me, and probably some of you too, it's great to see this stuff finally available...
and tho he doesn't need me to say so, i recently designed the new Tommy Keene cd for Second Motion Records, which is coming out soon, so everybody give it a listen-great muscular stuff from Tommy....greta guitar sounds too!! And Second Motion is also putting out the recent Steve Kilbey/Marty Willson-Piper (the Church) discs as well as Swervedriver reissues, so diversify!!!!!!
