Dear Audities
In July and August 2009 myself and a friend will be undertaking the
Mongol Rally.
What's that you say? It's basically driving about ten-thousand miles
from London, England to the Capital of Mongolia (Ulan Bator).
We'll be travelling through; England, France, Belgium, Germany, Czech
Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan Kyrgyzstan,
Kazakhstan (again), Russia (again) and finally Mongolia.
We will be driving over mountains, across deserts and through rivers -
and probably whilst being chased by bandits.
Oh... and we'll be doing it on a 1 litre Nissan Micra. The car will be
given to the people of Mongolia upon our arrival and will be auctioned
off for charity.
Each team needs to raise a minimum of £1,000 for charity, though of
course you can try and raise more and we're aiming for £2,000.
Our chosen charity is the Christina Noble Children's Foundation
(charity number: 1007484). Money raised will go to the 'Blue Skies
Ger Village.'
As part of our fund-raising we are holding a charity auction with 100%
of the profits going directly towards our chosen charity. If there's
anything you would be kind enough to donate for the auction we'd be
eternatally grateful.
For those wishing to bid... we have lots of exciting things. Signed
CDs from Ken Stringfellow, Jim Boggia, Bryan Scary and more...
The auction will kick off in March and i'll send you all the link in a
few weeks.
