I'm going through OLD Audities messages, and was wondering if anyone has news on the box of vinyl singles? Weirdo that I am, I think I'd prefer that to the cds, although it would be nice if the box of vinyl came with a download code.
Anyone have the scuttlebutt?
Is that how you spell "scuttlebutt"?

To anyone that loved the Titan Records catalog as much as I did should be excited about the info below from
the Numero Group (same label that put out the "Yellow Pills: Prefill" comp in 2004).
From Numero:
Two weeks later we take the catalog down I-70 and in a completely different direction. From 1978-1981 the Titan label issued only eight records, but over the years their tiny catalog has crawled to the top of power pop want lists worldwide and appeared on scads of bootleg cassettes, building a legacy to rival L.A.'s Bomp or New York's Ork. Located in fly-over country, Titan was forced to start their own scene, import their own skinny ties, and scour the Missouri Valley for their own talent. Their midwest AM bubblegum roots are apparent in the likes of Gary Charlson, the Secrets*, Arlis!, Gems, Millionaire At Midnight, the Boys, J.P. McClain & the Intruders, Bobby Sky, and Scott McCarl, but Titan was clearly influenced by the glam-punk spit being hocked from the 100 Club stage. 30 years since they meekly flopped out their first 7" single, Kansas City's Titan Records finally returns to record bins everywhere. The two disc collection features 42 tracks, 19
of which are previous!
ly unreleased, a 40 page booklet crammed with photos, ephemera, an essay and discography, all sandwiched between two environmentally friendly digipaks and crammed into Numero's eye-catching slipcase.
Titan: It's All Pop! drops on November 4th. Vinyl is taking shape for 2009 as a box of 45s.
