My mom passed away a couple of months, so today I was doing some clean-up
and rummaging through her house.

Found lots of photos of completely unidentifiable folks that date back to
the late 1800s. Found letters that go back about 90 years, one from my
grandfather (who died long before I was born) to my grandmother a year or so
before they were married in 1922 that quotes some song lyrics.

Among the stuff are two vinyl (?) records, both a bit smaller in
circumference than a standard 45 RPM single. They are from the early to
mid-'40s and feature messages my father recorded while he was in the service
and sent back home to his Ma in Kansas City MO. The problem is they were
recorded at, I would guess, 16RPM, since they were far too slow when I tried
to play them on my turntable at 331/3RPM.

So any suggestions of where I might be able to get these into a listenable
form? It would be so cool to hear my father's voice when he was in his early
20s...and it would be a gift to my siblings, too.

Any help from Auditeers will be appreciated.
