Will asked:

I think it's been awhile since anyone asked this, so.can anyone recommend
some of the best places to pick up new and used CDs in NYC? I'll be up there
this weekend, and then I'm going back up for Comic-Con. (If anyone else is
going to be at Comic-Con, let me know

You will hopefully get a variety of opinions on this one but I like Bleeker St Records at 239 Bleeker St in the Village.  Good selection, reasonable prices, attentive but not outwardly kind staff.... as opposed to say Bleeker Bob's, which probably has a wider selection but higher prices.  If you want the full High Fidelity-like movie experience with clerks who sniff at your purchases, then Bleeker Bob's is for you!   :)
