I saw Starcastle headline a festival at, of all places, a drive-in theater in Sioux City, Iowa in the summer of '79. Ruby Starr and the Grey Band (Ruby Starr being Jim Dandy Mangrum's female foil in Black Oak Arkansas) was the only other semi-famous name on the bill. I hated Starcastle -- much too proggy for my tastes. The lead singer wore a cool tux that had stars and moons on it, though.
