Hersh and Jaimie may be able to guide you better, as I'm just a Philly
guy who happened to hear them in the late 70s and grab most of their
stuff. They have a so-so GREATEST HITS in print, but I've always been
partial to their late 70s-early 80s output, especially LIGHTS FROM THE
VALLEY, WANNA BE A STAR and OPUS X. Many of their fans think DREAMS,
DREAMS, DREAMS is their pinnacle (from 1977), and it's kind of hard to
disagree with that, too. Other releases are more spotty to me, as they
veered from popish-prog, to power pop to hard rock.
Some examples -
"My Girl (Gone, Gone Gone): (from WANNA BE A STAR) - the big hit:

"Whatcha Gonna Do" (from OPUS X):

Their version of "Arms of Mary" (from LIGHTS FROM THE VALLEY):

"Fly At Night" (from DREAMS, DREAMS, DREAMS):

Actually, all four of those tunes are on GREATEST HITS, so I guess that
collection isn't so bad at all :)
