This (or similar) has happened to me before, but I forget how to rectify it.

Due to a virus, I just reinstalled Windows on my office computer, essentially erasing all extraneous programs/files, etc.

I now want to repopulate iTunes with the contents of my iPod, but iTunes threatens to erase everything on the iPod should I attempt a sync. I think this has to do with the fact that my office computer is NOT the original computer to which the iPod was synced (years ago).

So, can someone point me to an idiot-proof/simple way to get the contents of my iPod into iTunes. Please keep in mind that I'm only marginally computer-literate.

Thanks much.

Peter
