Somewhere in a box in my house is an article I wrote for the University of Toronto paper ("The Varsity") circa 1978 (I think) interviewing Handsome Dick Manitoba and Top Ten and reviewing their show at the El Mocambo.
They were really fun guys that didn't seem to take themselves too seriously, unlike several other performers who I interviewed at the time (Mickey Dolenz sticks out in my mind as an arrogant a**hole).
How the hell that that be 30 years ago???
