Not that I want to change the system - every system has its flaws - but the
above works until the last line. Giving 215 points is fine, but only if you
fill out 20 albums. Having your #8 get 25 points in that example when my #8
only gets 10 or so because I listed more albums skews the whole thing.
Giving the same points across an uneven number of records will *not* work,
IMO.
As bizarre as it is to have an album that gets four #1 voues and *nothing*
else outpoll an album that is #20 on 50 people lists is absurd...but then
again it apparently blew 4 people away where the other album, consistently
noted as it was, was also consistently far down the list.
Of course, as baseball fans know, there's always the (*)...
