Hello all,
Shake Some Action! has just released a new single called "Sunshine and
X-Ray Eyes" as part of a special benefit website called cytunes.org.
The song is available here: http://www.cytunes.org/artist/44/ (click
through to the song on that page to hear a preview of the track).
So, what's the site all about? Cy Rawls was a staple of the North
Carolina music community, and he was diagnosed with cancer over the
summer and, sadly, died this past October at the age of 33. The
cytunes.org site is both a tribute to Cy and a benefit for the Tisch
Brain Tumor Center, where Cy was treated.
The SSA! track, like all others, is $1.00. There are many great
artists like Superchunk, the Rosebuds, Polvo and others with their
material there, and these are all exclusive to the CyTunes.org site
and cannot be found anywhere else. So, as they say on the site,
"Download music. Downsize cancer."
