After all the recent Swedish Pop posts I thought it was time to shed some
light on a great Danish artist: Tim Christensen.
Until this year, Christensen had released two albums (Secrets On Parade in
2001, and Honeyburst in 2004). Not quite Power Pop, but certainly Pop,
albeit in a singer-songwriter mold. Personally, I think his first album is
his best, but his 2nd one has its moments as well.
On November 24, 2008, Tim Christensen released his third solo album,
Superior. The title song is already a big hit in Denmark and was co-written
(lyrics) by Mike Viola. Superior is a fine record, although I think it's not
as good as his two previous efforts. It's even more singer-songwriter, and
he doesn't rock that much anymore, although I have to say that he still has
an ear for great melodies.
So far, the album has only been released in Scandinavia, but the digital
version should be available through iTunes.

In February, Tim Christensen will go on tour in Demark and he will do some
shows there with Mike Viola as support artist.
