First and foremost I have to recommend "Music Millenium" on Burnside.
This is my favorite store based in no small part to the owner Terry Currier who is one of the brightest lights on all things music in this area. He runs a business that truly loves music in a way that I can only compare to how Ahmet Ertegun ran Atlantic records.

There's also Everyday Music on Burnside for used CD's and Jackpot records on Hawthorne... but I'd still give highest recommends to Music Millenium.

Also if you love books you must find time to go look at Powell's books which is a whole city block times 4 floors. Their music section is amazing.
