The new Titan 2 CD box just dropped into my lap (cheers Bruce!) and really, what a thing of great loveliness it is. Wonderful arty packaging that would have graced a Factory release; informative and well-written liner notes; a collectors card (mine has a picture of The Colors who were on 'Yellow Pills: Prefill'). CD's entitled the Fave side and the Rave side. Then, hit the play button - your ears are caressed by old-school mid 70s pop with touches of true blue-eyed soul (has there ever been a more soulful power-pop record than 'Baby It's You' by The Boys?). I've only listened to a handful of tracks so far but this looks like a treasure trove for people who worship songcraft and hooks. Hefty congratulations to all involved in this one, it's the real deal - treat yourself to an early Xmas gift and pick this one up.
