Speaking of crunchy power pop, folks would do well to check out BEING 
NICE WON'T SAVE MILWAUKEE by Quinn Scharber and the..., out now on The 
Bus Stop Label.  (The ellipsis is an in-joke: the band change their 
name pretty much from one show to the next.) Straight-up guitar pop 
with something of an old-school '70s midwest vibe.
