More good news from Kool Kat that I think Auditeers will appreciate!
FINALLY!!! Due November11 is the first ever, long overdue, "official" CD release by the legendary Nerves (Paul Collins, Jack Lee + Peter Case). Entitled "One Way Ticket", this 20 track collection features their now rare 1976 EP (the only record they ever released) along with a bunch of demos and previously unreleased live recordings.
And, as is the custom here at KK, we're offering an unbelievable "find" of a bonus disc with purchase - a previously unavailable, 20-song live recording from 1985 by the Plimsouls! Recorded at The Palace, in Hollywood CA, this special recording finds the band not only plundering through their back catalog, but performing some songs (ie, "Glory", "Twisted Friend", and "Sad Eyes") that never made it onto any 'Souls release! And, they also do some very cool covers of "Jumping From Love To Love" (Dr. Feelgood), and "Jumpin' In The Night" (Flamin' Groovies)! And they're joined on this performance by Gurf Morlix (Lucinda Williams) on pedal steel and background vocals - giving the band a sound and feel never heard before! This will come in a jewelcase with full artwork, etc. and is a great addition to your Plimsouls collection!
