Very good album, a bit more varied and 'adult' sounding than old Chills,
several good songs. highly recommended.
> SOFT COMMANDS--Ken Stringfellow
Another great find! very much what you'd expect from him (which is not
the case of his recent 'the sellout cover session ep', a very different
effort).

both quite good too, I'd buy them for more than you've paid.
> MANIA--The Lucy Show
I love this album, had it on vinyl, recently got the cd reissue. Very
80's uk sounding. A must for Anglophiles! Looking for 'Undone' on cd and
their early singles too.
> PROTEST A DARK ANNIVERSARY--Masters of the Hemisphere
I like these guys a lot too.

At first I thought about the band Wild Flowers, now I notice the band is
The New Birth. The Wild Flowers were a favorite of mine during the 80's,
I love their album 'Dust', that I have on vinyl but never saw on cd.

Not sure, but this seems not a usual bargain bin find.

Got this just after listening to a song or two on the radio at the time.
Pure and perfect 80's uk pop. They'd never come up with another album as
good as this in their career.

Not great, bue very cost effective. Good, pleasant music for very little
money.
Just bought the new Hotel Lights (Ben Folds Five drummer's band)
'Firecracker People' album for 5.00 plus shipping, and this is my
favorite album as of now. A big step up from their first one, which was
already fine. Now the songs are so well resolved and the album flows so
nicely. Contrary to what AMG says, I think consistency is the main
virtue here. Quiet and gentle AM style pop with a slight 'now', indier
sound. In the same package, got the Radio Dept. "Pet Grief' (2006), also
very good. Very quiet and dreamy, very consistent too. If you like the
more atmospheric side of indie pop, you can't miss this. 2 dollars for
this one, a steal!
Also highly recommended: the 2 ep's by Northern Portrait, a Danish indie
pop band that sounds like a rawer Smiths (to the point of imitation),
but with a lot of quality, excellent songs all over. Sometimes there's
also a Smart Brown Handbag / The Pop Art touch going on. I also liked
Glasvegas, very much like The Frank And Walters with bigger, more
atmospheric guitars a la Interpol / Editors. Didn't like The Airborne
Toxic Event, though. Definitely not my thing.
Rafael.
