Agreed, but I believe Mariah is the greater sinner.
In addition to Mariah bringing the vocal theatrics/roller coaster style to modern music, she also pioneered the 'can't let ten seconds of a song go by without you hearing my voice' style.
Right off the bat the 'oohs' and 'ay-ahhs' appear in almost every tune. Shaddup and let the song develop, you cackling hens.
