I agree that Old Time Rock and Roll and Kokomo are among the worst.

But how can anything be worse than "Feelings" by Morris Albert? I'm pretty sure that song is included in Webster's definition of insipid.

"MacArthur Park" by Richard Harris is also awful. To make things worse, it goes on forever. At least it is a complex piece, musically. I kind of like what Donna Summer did with it.

The first song I remember hating with a passion is Debbie Boone's "You Light Up My Life". I didn't think that song would ever go away.

But I can avoid bad songs for the most part. What troubles me more is a bad lyric in an otherwise good song. The most recent example I can think of is "Phoenix" by Aimee Mann. I just can't get past her rhyming Phoenix and Kleenex at the beginning of the song. Why didn't Michael Penn stop her?

Now, "We Are the Champions" and "Bohemian Rhapsody", those should be candidates for most annoying song. And throw in "Kokomo" by the Beach Boys for good measure.Tony
