I saw them at the Orpheum in Los Angeles, and agree with your comments about Glenn.  I guess I never gave much thought as to what a great guitar player he is.

However, I thought Chris looked to be enjoying himself.  He wasn't as engaging as Glenn, and I don't think he really made eye contact with him either.  But he shone quite a few big smiles during the show and seemed to really be having a good time.

Subject: Squeeze Live

Hello All -

Just wondering if anyone has had the great privilege of seeing Squeeze on
their reunion tour?  I was front and center in Austin a couple of weeks ago
and I gotta tell ya...Glenn Tilbrook is simply an amazing artist.  His
guitar skills verge on virtuoso within the confines of a pop song.  His
voice hasn't lost the slightest bit of quality and, as always, he is very
engaging and entertaining.

I couldn't believe they played a couple of masterpieces off Argybargy I've
never heard them play live before.  I Think I'm Go Go and Separate Beds were
both just incredibly stellar and all the more enjoyable because they were so
unexpected.

The one negative, and it wasn't terrible, but noticeable, was Chris
Difford's almost total lack of eye contact with Tilbrook, although Glenn
tried all concert long to engage him in the fun.  Difford showed no signs of
fun or joy and rarely even smiled.  Don't know if they fought beforehand or
if they're just doing the tour for money and never reconciled their
differences (Tilbrook did introduce him as "my arch-enemy and my best mate),
but it seemed pretty clear that Difford wasn't happy to be there.

Tilbrook was, though, and it made up for it.

Best,
Rick
