And I'm right behind the complainers on this one. As far as anyone I  
speak to with a half-decent ear is concerned, it's a trend that's been  
ruining music for several years.

Case in point - among others - Polyphonic Spree, The Fragile Army.  
Bought this last week, the songs are great but it's so badly mastered  
and distorted it's unlistenable as far as I'm concerned.

Just dragged it into Garage Band and had a look at the dynamic range in  
the editor and it's so clipped that it's practically a straight line.  
They sound better on YouTube.

What do you do about it....apart from write to the band, tell 'em the  
mastering sucks and ask for your money back?
