found this upload on dime, and wonder if anyone has more information than
what's found here in terms of the track listing and content! from the dime site:
The Grapes of Wrath-Field Trip Era Demos circa 1999-2000
cd clone>flac>you
I've had these for a long time now, and off and on have scoured the web
looking for more information on these sessions, and have come up empty. The songs
that do wind up on Field Trip, their swan song, are certainly different
versions, in a demo state, before rerecording the versions found on the released
album. There are also songs here that don't appear on the album, and vice
versa (no "Black Eye" for example.)
Sound quality is very good, except for whoever mastered the thing too loud,
so looking at the wave forms is like looking at most modern mastering where
they just clip everywhere and don't leave any room to breathe.
Other than that, it's very enjoyable, and these guys were just one of the
greats. Still listen to them even today.
I don't have titles for 8-13, so if there is anyone with more information
and titles on these once you've heard them please post!
