So, after many years of holding off, I'm finally jumping on the download bandwagon, mostly for environmental reasons.

I signed up with Emusic, but am feeling really limited by the number of downloads I'm allowed. I know there are different levels, but I'm at the cheapest one right now, which is about what I was spending on cds per month anyway. (i.e. not very much cuz I'm broke.) So, I'm only getting 25 songs.

I know a lot of you are Emusic devotees, so I'm looking for some inside info on how to work the system. Are there times when I can buy a bundle of downloads for a lower price? Is referring friends the only way I can get more free downloads? What plan are you on and do you generally use up all the downloads you get per month?

I'm thinking I should just splurge at the beginning, get all the stuff I want, then scale back.

Any tips appreciated!

anna
