they didn't really have a cohesiveness to their sound. some of the
songs reminded me of The Killers, kind of the rock/dance/electronic
mix of sound, but then other songs just flopped.
I dunno, they were sandwiched between Electric Touch and The
Fratellis, two bands with great sets and both had the crowd interested
and paying attention. Airborne Toxic Event lost the attention of the
crowd, so that might have had something to do with it. I really really
tried hard to get into their set, but I had two "kids" with me (my
19yo nephew, and 21yo niece) who really didn't like them, except my
niece dug the violin player.

maybe a headline gig is different for them. I haven't dismissed them
entirely, so I hope the DC show is different. I also haven't spent a
lot of time with their music. I just hope I'm not tainted by that
Philly show!!
