That's true; that's probably why the quality of many music reviews in
general-interest publications (and some of the lesser music publications) is
so poor.
That having been said, many of those people are under incredible pressure. I
suppose it's reasonable to ask whether it's better to have a regurgitated
press release or no review at all.
Good move on rewriting the bio, though. Many places are simply reposting
those without even making an attempt to share their own actual thoughts.
