Hi Kevin,

Nice recap on the Shoes albums and songwriters. I'm way behind on my
digests, so I don't know if this sparked any further Audities
conversation. I'm a big Shoes fan, and always thought Gary was
probably the best songwriter, but that Jeff had the strongest body of
work, including his work outside the group. A few years ago, I made a
comp of Jeff songs - some were his cuts from Shoes albums, some were
songs he produced for Material Issue, Mike Shupp, Fun w/Atoms, and
others. I also threw in a couple of the Shoes covers from John Borak's
Shoes tribute. Mike Bennett had published it on "CD-R of the Month" on
Fufkin.com a while back, but I can't seem to find the link right now.
I ended up giving some of those CD-Rs away, and trading some, and was
intending to use it as an SOTT comp at some point (I would update it now
that he's put out a solo disc), but I haven't participated in the last
few. Maybe next round ....

Mike
