I think we need to distinguish between music reviews and music critics. I am all in favor of music reviews. Especially if they talk about the music and what it sounds like and what may or may not be similar. A music critic is someone that provides an essay on how jason falkner felt during the recording and how it is all derived from Hungarian folks songs.

Maybe it is too fine a line but my guess is that most of what Mike, Stewart, pitchfork, mojo, or Big Takeover are music reviews.

I do music reviews. We all do music reviews on this list.
