I don't really hear The Beach Boys -- the harmony singing is very much more like something you'd hear in church.
Fleet Foxes was one of the highlights of the Pitchfork Festival. They did some a capella harmonizing and 10,000 or so people were silent, it was so captivating.

Amazing band. Setting the world afire. Best new thing I've heard/seen in a LOOOOONG time. Not power pop but lots of amazing harmonies. Unique stuff.?> > > Will definitely second that! My album of the year so far. Great BB references as well circa Smile. I can't stop listening to Ragged Wood - really fresh sounds. Am visiting near Seattle now but the band is on tour in Europe! Bummer :)> > > I posted a glowing review of the album at www.powerofpop.com>
