For those who want to remember it as was it's worth checking out this
archive of all the Siskel, Ebert and Roeper reviews from the last 20 or so
years

It's never good to needlessly complicate a simple format that works. I know
that from Top Of The Pops over here in the UK which just got worse and worse
as they kept bolting on news segments, interviews, celebrity presenters etc
to try and save the show from falling ratings. At it's best it's essence was
just showing the new entries and climbers in that weeks chart along with the
number one.
