My sincere condolances to Gary's family and friends. As important a contributer to the powerpop culture as the late Greg Shaw...

What a terrible loss for this community. I know Gary would sporadically pop up (pun intended) here with some posts, and that for many of you, his Audities was like an oasis in the power pop desert of the mainstream. 

The very fact this his efforts are the reason that this list exists makes this very sad news for me. I didn't even know the guy and he had an impact on me. So for those of you did, I can only imagine how much harder this news is to take.

Maybe we should all play some Raspberries or Big Star or something in this honor at our respective abodes in honor of Gary. Instead of a moment of silence, moments of insanely great pop.
