I know the musicians and small labels have watched their livelihood get
hacked at the knees by a culture that expects art for free...well, writers
get hosed too.
i happened to stumble onto a harlan ellison interview tonight (one of my
favorite writers ever). in the best kevin bacon example of the day i linked
to it while researching a good rats album (!) and then decided to poke
around the net and see if there was some interesting ellison matter...and
hit this perfect rant:

ps- the good rats article led me to writer clifford meth...who not only had
a great interview with ellison but also recent ones with eric carmen, pat
