Speaking of which, I usaually don't care for many music videos, but really liked their video for "Deathbed (Na Na Na)" from Parallel Universe, especially Cliff's solo.  It looks like they were having fun making it too :

Great tune too!

Being one of those patrons, maybe I'm a little biased, but this and the new Old 97's album are currently running 1-2 for me for 2008.  I think this is IKE's best effort to date - Hersh is right, they have cranked up the "rock" a bit, and with terrific results.  In a just world, John Faye would be a superstar for his lyrics alone.

The good news is that they have gotten some local airplay on mainstream rock station WMMR - "We Like Sugar" especially.  They are currently wrapping up production on a video for this tune, and I'm looking forward to seeing it in late July at the World Café Live in Philadelphia.

They are indie in the true sense - we've had some debates here on Audities about being a patron (when they start recording, they ask for donations ... for $50, you get an autographed CD, your name in the credits, and a ticket to the CD release party).  Since these guys are just about my favorite band, and they are right in my backyard, it's well worth it to me to help ensure they keep cranking out the good stuff.

I agree with Hersh whole-heartedly --- go to Bruce or Ray KoolKat and get a copy of this.  I was happy to hear that that their first pressing has sold out, and they are now into the 2nd.
