>Blue Ash were far and away better than the Dolls.

This may be the most ridiculous statement I have ever seen on Audities.

Sure, they could *play* better than the Dolls. Will you make that
argument to say a bunch of third rate prog and jazz rock bands were
better than the Dolls too?

Come on...in 1973 there was no music out there better and more deserving
of success than that first Dolls album, and history has proven me right, because
it was the direct inspiration for most of the best music of the next decade.

I'm not knocking Blue Ash. The first album is great (the second sucks, though.)
But they were a derivative band playing a good and spirited version of something
we had all seen before and the public no longer had a taste for. The Dolls started
a music revolution.
