The title comes from a Beck performance on Top Gear, where You Shook Me
is subtitled Tales Of Micky Waller...
Yeah, he did time with Auger, and Steampacket, I believe. Georgie Fame
too. Then there was the band Silver Metre, a sort of super group with
Pete Sears and Leigh Stephens from Blue Cheer.
He was quite amazing to see live. Really powerful player... all from
the wrists as we used to say.
But, he was only on Truth, he got the sack, so it Tony Newman on Beck
Ola... After three albums with Stewart, he sort of fell from sight, but
he was apparenlty playing in various bands all along.
I've got some photos from the Fillmore somewhere. If I can find 'em I'll
post one on the Career site.
