I like the idea that FOW & Weezer occasionally crack
the pop charts and radio airplay - It gives me hope
for the pop world...maybe they have opened doors
(minds) for a few of the other bands we discuss here.
I like FOW, but they are pretty disposable. The
instant gratification wears off pretty quickly and I
rarely find myself going back to their albums (which I
should, because I'm sure they'd be fun all over again
for about a week). I feel pretty much the same about
Weezer, except that their albums are a bit more
"growers" and have a longer shelf life - Or in reality
player-life...the shelves are where CD's go to die.

What is the "idea" you like about FOW, but not
necessarily their music?
Yes, they sometimes can be too clever for their own
good, but the music
is the muisc, if you know what I mean.
