Hi - Does anyone have a rip of the Flys "Waikiki Beach Refugees" LP, or
their first EP from the original vinyl, that has not been processed
using anything, i.e. a noise reducer or compressor? I'm not a fan of
the compressed sound on the official CDs. The songs from the 1990 "Best
of the Flys" CD sound more like the original vinyl, but that CD didn't
have all the songs from the LP and the first EP. So I ripped the
missing songs from the vinyl many years ago, and sold the vinyl, and now
that I listen to them, I find I prefer their sound to the sound of the
songs from that 1990 CD, as even on that CD, some compression and noise
reduction techniques were used. Maybe my hearing is going in my old
age. Whatever. In any event, I would like to obtain the rest of the
songs from the original vinyl. I don't need clean versions, as I plan
to manually fix any noise defects. Thanks. - Mark
