I recently listened to "When I was cruel" and dug it a lot. Also really liked the Memphis sound on "Delivery Man".And it was great to see him pop up on talk shows with Emmylou and Tony Bennet. When I read that Jenny Lewis was singing with him on this new one, I thought it might be more roots oriented. But what a delight to put this on and hear "No hiding place" . A pleasant surprise. So , I agree with you.
By the way , I bought this based on the Audities buzz. If that was you , thanks. I would have gotten it any way, but I did make it a priority.
