Paul's blog is great. Please check it out just as I will check out the
new Elvis Costello (i have long ago given up on him - i admire all
his gusto for stepping out into so many amazing arenas - it's just
that the results always seem close but no cigar.... i first saw him
live with Mink Deville (great double bill) and last saw him here in
Vancouver solo (wow - what a voice - no microphone for half
the set) where he stuck to mostly unknown "North" material until
some heckler yelled out "I'm going to sleep here!" and Elvis
got mad and spewed out the hits and the rest of the set was great...hahahaa...
doubtless a bit of a drag to Elvis as he lives here with Diana Krall...
but hey, Vancouver is a tough town and a lot of performers get a bit
of a grilling here...
