I just read his story of his Abbey Road session - very interesting.
Seems like it went pretty well - there is maybe another posting still to
come? I saw his band, The Pills some years ago in NYC. They were a
terrific high energy power (pop) trio with quirky, energetic songs -
'Halifax' and 'Spork' are the ones I remember.

A few other power-poppers have recorded at Abbey Road too I think - I
recall Hans Rotenberry (Shazam) writing about his experiences there. I
was also reminded of the time I was in London and wandered over to St
John's Wood too see Abbey Road studios. I thought they would have some
sort of tour of the place for Beatle-fans, but the young dreadlocked guy
at the desk looked at me like I was mad and said "No, man - this is just
a working studio". I felt so deflated!

By the way, while I'm on - has anyone here stumbled across a new
magazine called Shindig? I'm not sure if it is a UK mag or not, but our
very own David Bash is a contributor to it. It seems to be
power-pop/garage/freakbeat-centric.
