Hey Dan,

Seattle is all kinds of awesome. I just moved back to North Carolina
after living in Seattle for four years, and I truly miss it there.

I used to run the Seattle Powerpop Blog (see:
http://www.seattle-powerpop.blogspot.com) and it's now run by my
friend Andy Miracle. Check back on Monday of that week. He'll have
some recommended shows for that same weekend (5/10, not 5/2, right?)

As for your question about The Funhouse. It's a pretty cool place
that does a lot of punk and garage rock shows that got some bad press
last year for a stabbing. Don't hold that against the club. It's
definitely not a common occurance. Just an FYI that you might hear
about it as you're searching around the web. In truth, the club is
in Belltown, and that is a major bar/restaurant/hang out district, and
it's no doubt as safe as any other club down there (which is to say
pretty darn safe).

For kitch factor, check out Shorty's Coney Island
(http://www.shortydog.com/tour.html) down in that area. But, in
truth, there are too many to list here... so see this list instead:

Have fun in Seattle!
