I always liked the Solipsistics, especially CAREFUL HOW YOU GO (a fine
breakup album) and the somewhat livelier JESUS OF THE APES. MacGregor
managed to make intelligent, perceptive and somewhat sad music without
sounding whiny or petulant. I usually found myself listening those those
discs after midnight. Might be time to dig them out again.
