"When I Woke Up This Morning." It's one of
those phrases that can trigger a flashback for
anyone who recalls the classic 60's folk-rock hit
made famous by We Five.
The group will be performing in concert for AcousticMusicSanDiego
on Saturday night, April 19.
We Five was nominated for a Grammy as the best
new artist of 1965, and they are now in their 4th
decade of making musical magic.The group's blend
of vocals and deft guitar work made their million
selling recording of 'You Were On My Mind' one of
the biggest hits in the Summer of 65. 40 years and
many albums later, they just keep getting better.
Their show covers a full spectrum of sounds from whisper
quiet folk songs, to power ballads and folk rock standards with all the
stops pulled out.
The AMSD venue matches their classic sound with
a classic venue and great acoustics making it the perfect place
to see and hear them up close and personal.
