Hi San Francisco Auditeers;
Remember "catch a rising star" concerts? We used to have them in Seattle.
Here is a heads up - one of the most dynamic bands I've come across in a
dozen years are on their first tour and are in San Francisco tonight:
Apr 13 2008 10:00P Red Devil Lounge San Francisco, California
The band is Bryan Scary and The Shredding Tears; they are touring on their
new album released this month called "Flight of the Knife"
http://www.flightoftheknife.com/
I saw them in Seattle on Thursday, then had to follow them to Portland
Oregon on Friday. They have been playing in small venues; there were only a
handful in the audience Friday night.
What are they like? Think Gabriel era Genesis crossed with Queen, Zappa and
Jellyfish. What sets them apart - they can REALLY play their instruments.
Astounding work.
Seeing them felt a lot like when I saw U2 on their first tour in Seattle at
a little club - you knew this was going to be BIG.
They'll be playing LA on the 15th. See their myspace page for more tour
dates: http://www.myspace.com/bryanscary
Thanks!
