Holy crap, I remember seeing them in City Paper as well. I think my
coffee came out of my nose reading this just now.
I have gone to a bunch of shows over the years at the TLA on South
Street (now has the Fillmore moniker), and there is a pretty good used
CD place across the street. I remember seeing a CD by a band called
Sandy Duncan's Eye - my brothers and I had a good laugh at that, but
none of us bought it. I kind of regret that now.
CD Shopping --> Show at TLA --> Slice at Lorenzo's -- now that's a great
way to spend an evening on South Street.
