Actually Michelle, the book is called "Travels With My Amp" and for those of us who grew up on a steady diet of 70's/80's Cancon rock (Goddo, Rush, Fludd, Segarini, April Wine, Moxy, A Foot in Cold Water, Loverboy, Prizm, Red Rider, etc.) it's a funny and insightful look behind the scenes.
Highly recommended.

You must not have read Greg Godovitz book ''Life With My Amp" yet. I haven't either. but I did buy a dvd of his and that's all he talked about. Kind of a let down at first since I thought I'de be hearing more music. Best part of that dvd was discovering the bands Fludd and Segarini. Segarini being the one I mentioned in a prior post before I headed down to SXSW. Gotta Have Pop is my first pop cd. Then I bought them all I was so entranceded by this guys voice and music. A favorite song of his is Goodbye, a tune written from his heart upon the death of George Harrison. Blew me away, such passion and agony combined. I went back for more and found him in his other bands, Family Tree,Wackers, Roxy.. You won't find him on myspace but facebook and bullseye records and the posted you tube videos. he's worth the hunt. He should write a book, from what I've read and heard, his story would be of interest to me, the man is loaded with insight and wit.

lyrics and music I've heard that I'm still wondering how I missed back in the 70's. I'll not miss anymore.
I've been enjoying all the posts of pop favorites and the google hunts they led me to, lyrics mainly. I've missed out on alot of good music, glad to be finding now!

my review! You'll probably take the easy way out and see them at The
Bug Jar though!
It's one of the best rock books I've ever read. It's more a of a tale
of perseverance than a chronological history. More tales of drug and
alcohol fueled mayhem then any other band expect maybe the Rolling
Stones (they had a 15 year head start though!).
