I don't think you'll be disappointed.  It's world better than the 
debut, in that the songs still have a definite '70s AM pop vibe (the 
chorus of "Venus Ambassador" quite cheekily rips off "Venus and 
Mars"), but they sound much less overtly derivative.  And the addition 
of a proper band definitely helps.
